Dr. Michael Turner is a spine fellowship-trained neurosurgeon with more than 15 years of experience. He is proficient in the latest minimally invasive surgical techniques for the relief of back and neck pain. He works to improve patient outcomes by using these techniques on patients with, degenerative disc disease, spinal tumors and spinal deformity. He is also proficient in the treatment of cranial disorders, including brain tumors. Dr. Turner is originally from California where he completed his B.S. before moving to Chicago where he received both his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees. After completing a spine fellowship in 2011 at Cedars Sinai Spine Institute Foundation, Dr. Turner, moved to Texas to start his medical practice.
Sherri Pernell
Sherri has worked in the healthcare industry for over 20 years and has been with Dr. Turner since 2011. She is considered the “mom” of the team at Dr. Turner’s office because everyone looks up to her as a role model and for advice. Sherri is kind and caring and carries that into her work ethic with Comprehensive Neurosurgery. She oversees coordinating all referrals and marketing. Sherri takes pride in ensuring all patients receive the care they need and will fight equally for each patient to ensure they get the best care possible.
Sherri has one daughter and two granddaughters. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and supporting her granddaughters in their sporting activities. Her hobbies include playing volleyball, lounging at the pool, and cruising the streets on her golf cart.
Micayla Tomlin, M.A
Micayla has been in the medical field for over ten years. She is currently in school working towards gaining her BSN degree. She is a mother to three boys, two cats, and an adorable leopard gecko. When she is not at work or chasing after her three boys, she enjoys spending time outside. Micayla loves Texas country and supporting local bands.
Vanessa Deason
Vanessa has over 20 years of experience in healthcare management. She holds an MBA with a concentration in healthcare administration. Vanessa has a passion for providing quality healthcare and ensuring a positive experience for every patient.
Vanessa is a mother of three wonderful children and a grandmother of two precious grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her family.
Paige Miller, M.A.
Paige has been in the medical field for over ten years and has been working with Dr. Turner since 2012. She is currently working towards obtaining her BBA at Texas Woman’s University with a concentration in healthcare administration. Paige finds joy in helping others and going the extra mile to ensure all patients have their healthcare needs met.
Paige is a mother of three amazing girls and 4 fur babies (3 dogs and 1 cat). She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being outdoors, remodeling her home, shopping, traveling, and playing soccer.
Jordan Radanof, M.A.
Jordan has been in the medical field for several years. She is the mother to a very energetic and loving 3-year-old boy and 3 dogs. When she is not at work, helping to coordinate Dr. Turner’s surgeries and provide patients with a positive and welcoming experience, she enjoys being outdoors, going on walks with her family, and working on DIY projects for the house.
