Megan Burke is a board-certified Physician Assistant, located in Frisco, TX, currently specializing in Neurosurgery.
Megan was born and raised in Springfield, IL, where her family still resides. She obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Notre Dame. During her time there, she participated as a student athlete, and as a Notre Dame cheerleader.
After undergraduate, she moved to Chicago, IL, and worked in the financial services industry. After several years in the corporate world, she followed her passion and transitioned into medicine.
She returned to school to complete prerequisite requirements while at the same time working at a hospital to gain patient care experience and knowledge.
She relocated to New York, NY and began Physician Assistant school. She earned her Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Mercy College in 2015.
Her clinical interests are to safely diagnose and treat each patient and make medical recommendations as if they were a family member. Her patient care approach is multi-disciplinary and has the opportunity to provide care in the pre-, intra-, and post-operative setting. She provides support and care to patients in the operating room, hospital floors and clinic.
She has several interests when she is not working. She is an avid traveler and wine enthusiast. She enjoys the game of golf, skiing in the mountains and is a certified Nitrox diver. Her most joy in life is spending time with her beloved rescue dogs, Moose and Rocco. She is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
